Arapahoe Basin - Current Ski & Snow Report - Mountain Stats

Arapaho Basin Snow Report

Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin)

With a base elevation above 10,000 A-Basin enjoys an incredibly long season, usually one of the first ski resorts to open for the each year and is the last to close (the season often extends into July - crazy as that might seam) it is a favorite among local skiers in the Colorado area.

While A-Basin is smaller than most resorts in Colorado it more than makes up for it’s size with the quality of the runs and it’s “back country feel”. The ski mountain averages plenty of snow (during the 2005 - 2006) ski season A-Basin enjoyed more than 100 inches of fresh powder in December online.

A-Basin is great alternative for intermediate and advanced skiers that want to escape the busy Colorado resorts like Keystone, Vail, Copper Mountain or Beaver Creek. With more intermediate and expert terrain and lots of fresh power it is really a great mountain for hardcore skiers that want a simpler less touristy ski mountain.
