California Resorts Begin Making Snow For The Season

The snow making team at Mammoth got to work on Wednesday evening when temperatures dropped into the teens. With excellent conditions for artificial making snow (cool temps and low humidity) the snow crew had already blown approximately four inches of snow on Broadway, the main run overlooking Main Lodge, by Thursday morning. Mammoth ski resort plans to be the first ski and snowboard resort open in California when it kicks off the ski season in less than two weeks, on November 9.
