Powderhorn Colorado Current (Snow & Ski) Weather Conditions - Mountain Stats

Located in western Colorado Powderhorn Ski Resort is located at the edge of the Grand Mesa about 25 miles away from Grand Junction Colorado. Because of it’s close proximity to Grand Junction it is a favorite of locals who make day trips to the mountain. The ski base is 8200 feet with the summit topping out at 9850 feet which offers more than 1600 of vertical drop.

Powderhorn is served by three chair lifts one high speed quad and two double chairs. Powderhorn ski are receives an average of 250 inches of Colorado snow per year. The ski season lasts from December until late March or early April.

Skiers that enjoy long blue cruisers will love Powderhorn which offers a handful of these types of runs. Ski tickets are as follows:

  • $48 (adult 29 – 59)  $41 (young adult 19 -25) $38 (student and seniors)

Week Days (Non Holidays)

  • $43 (adult 29 – 59) $34 (young adult 19 -25) $33 (students and seniors)

Powderhorn also makes available half day tickets which are on average about 8 bucks cheaper.
