Ski Biking For Adventure This Winter
The popularity of skiing and snowboarding has grown substantially over the last twenty some years, today snowboarding is just as popular as skiing with the younger generation. As an avid skier I have always wanted to try out snowboarding however with only spending a limited amount of time on the slopes every years it has been happened (maybe one year). Another “option” for those looking for another fun and exciting way to get to the bottom of a snowy mountain might want to try what is known as ski biking.
Ski biking dates back more than one hundred years and was first introduced throught Europe in the mid 1800’s. At the time the “ski bikes” were constructed on heavy wooden frames and the designs used were based on bicycles. Today’s ski bikes are nimble and responsive and allow the rider an exciting ride down the face of a mountain. Ski bikes can be ridden in numerous conditions including packed powder, fresh powder and even moguls (for the adventurous).
