Ski Cooper Colorado Snow & Ski Report - Mountain Facts & Figures
Ski Cooper Colorado Current (Snow & Ski) Conditions - Mountain Stats
Ski Cooper is located about 30 miles south from the Vail and Beaver Creek areas, Ski Cooper is a blast from the past and features only natural snow and a small lift system that services the small mountain.
Billed as “The Friendliest Mountain Around” Ski Cooper is a great mountain to learn to ski on, with small runs and cheaper prices (adults can ski all day for only $37 – $26 for a half day). First time skiers could rent ski equipment in the nearby town of Leadville and take in an afternoon ski day for twentysix bucks.
However Ski Copper does not cater to only beginner skiers – those looking for a one of a kind ski experience can sign up for Ski Coopers “Cat Skiing Trips”. With more than 2400 acres of bowls, glades and extreme terrain for advanced skiers.
We will take you as high as 12,600 feet in elevation atop the Continental Divide. The slopes vary from 3000 to 10,000 feet in length with vertical drops up to 1400 feet per run. Check in is at the Ski Cooper day lodge. Please bring appropriate gear for snow and changing weather conditions. This is a great opportunity to rent powder fat skies from our rental shop. A full day of cat skiing includes a hot lunch and will cost you $250, if you want to ski some untracked powder runs then cat skiing is really a great way to make that happen!
Cooper ski mountain is open from December into April 9am to 4pm.
