Snowmass Snow Report

Snowmass Colorado Current (Snow & Ski) Conditions - Mountain Stats

Located several miles from the swanky town of Aspen is Snowmass, which features the biggest vertical drop of any ski resort located in the United States (4,406 ft). Known for it’s incredible ski mountain that features tons of varied terrain and deep Colorado powder skiers can also enjoy true ski in ski out lodging with dozens of slopeside options when it comes  to accommodations.

The Aspen resorts are “destination” resorts rather than “day trip” ski resorts like those of Loveland, Winter Park, A-Basin or Keystone. Skiers and Snowboarders can ski any of the three mountain areas on one ski pass that include Snowmass, Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands.

Snowmass offers plenty of ski lifts including high speed quad chairs and the new (2006 – 2007 season) Elk Camp gondola that whisks skiers and boarders up to Elk Camp Meadows in under nine minutes. The village at Snowmass is truly the perfect ski resort village that offers some of the best “ski resort” restaurants in all of America – restaurants include Cafe Suzanne, Lynn Britt Cabin, Cirque Bar & Grill as well as Two Creeks Mexican Cafe and Up 4 Pizza. Of course the town of Aspen is only minutes away and also features dozens of great eateries

All of this comes at a price, Snowmass is not cheap but as they say you do get what you pay for.
