Steamboat Snow Report

Steamboat Colorado Current (Snow & Ski) Conditions - Mountain Stats

Steamboat is located in northwest Colorado just over 150 miles from Denver, known for deep “champagne powder” and a small town feel Steamboat offers skiers a true western get away feel. A true cowboy town tourists can enjoy weekly rodeo’s on a weekly basis with ranches in every direction of the town.

But it is winter when “Ski-Town-USA” really comes alive, Steamboat offers skiers and snowboarders a large mountain (actually several peaks spread out over  2,965 acres) with 164 ski trails and terrain for all skiing abilities. Steamboat has plenty of vertical as well, dropping nearly 3,700 feet from summit (10,568 feet) to the ski base (6,900)

Mountain Ski Trails:

  • 14% Beginner
  • 42% Intermediate
  • 44% Advanced

I have skied Steamboat once with my brother when I had first moved to the Denver area in the early nineties, we both had a great time and enjoyed the rugged cowboy feel, the great snow and big vertical. I would recommend Steamboat to larger groups or families looking for varied terrain, Steamboat offers something for nearly all types of skiers.
