Woo Hoo! Another Two Feet Of Fresh Powder In Colorado!
And the great news (if your into colder temps and plenty of snow) just keeps on coming for skiers and snowboarders of Colorado. Another winter blast has rocked it’s way through Colorado (where it’s still snowing at the time of this posting) dumping up to two feet of snow over parts of Colorado which included.
All this early season snow has put big smiles on the faces of snow lovers in Colorado, as well as resort owners and operators who are excited with such a great “early season base”. Wolf Creek had already planned on opening tomorrow, this fresh snow will make it a special opening for sure (the earliest the resort has ever opened). Copper Mountain also had already planned on opening on November 3rd and now Keystone has also decided to open on that same day a week earlier than expected.
Aspen & Snowmass Ski Area Conditions:
The snow crews of A-Jax, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk have been busy over the last two weeks, testing the resorts new snow making systems and packing the fresh snow on the ski mountains. Some of the area runs (Aspen Area’s) have already had the snow packed twice with the help of snowcats and base depths are already close to the 24 inch mark. The snow making team is doing all they can now to ensure a great season of skiing over the next several months, if the cold tempatures continue as does the snow it could be a record breaking (snow totals) season.
This latest storm that hit Colorado also blew through Utah dumping snow on Snowbird which reported over a foot and a half of new snow.
